Introduction
Welcome again to the Newsletter of the UCC Division of the First American Title Insurance Company. In this issue we again offer a review of 2008 cases concerning Personal Property Secured Transactions. We thank, once again, our good friend Steven O. Weise of Proskauer Rose LLP, Los Angeles office, and his co-authors, Teresa Wilton Harmon of Sidley Austin LLP, Chicago, and Lynn A. Soukup of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Washington D.C., for supplying these case summaries. The case summaries are part of their presentation to the Spring Meeting of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association titled 2008 Commercial Law Developments. We will follow this review of cases in our next issue of the Newsletter with additional case reviews involving Real Property Secured Transactions, Guaranties, Fraudulent Transfers, Financial Institutions, Contracts and other matters.
